You and your job:

We are looking for a Business Architect Data & Analytics who will take on the role of Area Architect for Enterprise Data Products within Tribe D&A Products & Transformation. You define and drive the target architecture for the area, ensuring alignment with product vision and business needs. The Area Enterprise Data Products focuses on simplifying and standardizing the data landscape and strengthening the foundation required for scalable (Agentic) AI.

We:

• Build enterprise-wide data products — Develop and maintain a strategically aligned portfolio of domain-agnostic data products and a shared enterprise data ontology, enabling consistency, reuse, and scalability across the bank.

• Enable AI at scale — Partner with business domains to create AI-ready data products that deliver relevant, contextualized data for advanced AI use cases (including Agentic AI), leveraging technologies such as knowledge graphs and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Automate and standardize data product delivery — Work with platform teams to industrialize data product creation using automation, computational governance, and enterprise data product implementation standards.

As Area Architect you lead the area together with the Area Lead and Tech Lead. You will work closely together with the solution architects within the area, with whom you align the area vision, realize the architecture strategy & roadmaps, and contribute to our purpose. You guide the teams towards the best results in a future-proof architecture, keep each other on our toes and help each other where possible.

Your impact:

• Define and communicate the strategic direction for data products and AI-ready data, enabling faster delivery of high-quality, reusable data assets across the bank.

• Lead and coach a team of solution architects, ensuring alignment on vision, architecture standards, and delivery of future-proof solutions.

• Lead and steer as part of the area leadership team and support product delivery with a strong architecture vision and roadmap.

• Ensure our data and AI products are scalable, compliant, and delivering real business value.

• Translate emerging market developments and innovations into strategic architecture direction and tangible business value for Rabobank.

Practical examples:

• Create and communicate an architecture vision on data products for AI-ready data, aligning with business stakeholders, architects and the Chapter Global Data Management.

• Collaborate with business architects across the bank to shape a shared enterprise data ontology.

• Mentor and coach a team of solution architects within your area.

Experience:

• 7+ years in relevant roles, including 3+ years in enterprise or business architecture in a complex D&A environment

• Experience in global, multi-business line environments

Expertise:

• Strong architecture vision on data products, AI-ready data, and data ontology

• Deep understanding of strategy, capabilities, and value streams — ensuring the business ‘what and why’ precedes the technical ‘how’

• Ability to translate business needs into scalable architectural solutions

Leadership & communication:

• Delivering results in a leadership position, steering the domain together with the business lead and tech lead

• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across business and IT

• Strong coaching and mentoring skills towards solution architects

• Excellent communication skills, from C-level to engineering teams

Additional information:

• All departments are working hybrid, in terms of Rabobank @anywhere policy

• Due to the congestion at the parking lot Rabobank location Croeselaan in Utrecht, a new parking policy will be introduced as of April 2026. From Monday through Thursday, external staff will no longer be able to park at the Croeselaan. Parking for external staff will remain permitted on Fridays only

• Please note: midlance constructions are not allowed according to Rabobank policy. Do not offer candidates via this construction. This will be investigated during the screening

• Suppliers must be aware of the laws and regulations regarding employment conditions and Rabobank’s Collective Labour Agreement. This assignment is placed in scale X

• We would like to receive the personal motivation of the candidate and CV in English

• A candidate should be submitted exclusively to onze broker – Rabobank during the exclusivity period of 4 business days on one request

• Furthermore, the candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment

• All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the assignment

• Pre-employment screening: If the candidate is selected to start, a pre-employment screening will be executed. As of July 1 2026, a new PES regulation applies. The PES is outsourced to an external party. More information can be found in Annex A. Your candidate is only allowed to start after the pre-employment screening has been completed successfully

• When offering an independent contractor on an ZZP indirect basis, the contract will be handled via a fee-only agreement. This agreement can be requested in advance
