Senior IT Solution Designer
The Solution Designer ensures IT stability through focus on IT architecture design as defined by the Architect, applying architecture guidelines, leveraging synergies and creation of the technical roadmap. The Solution Designer focuses on the IT architecture design within the responsibility of a single system, or more importantly across multiple systems. The Solution Designer makes timely decisions on solution design across multiple systems that fit within the architecture guidelines and understands dependencies and interaction between different applications in the value chain. The Solution Designer refines and reviews business requirements, influencing them to ensure the most effective use of IT application landscape and IT Infrastructure; translates of user stories into detailed solution and integration design, following the architecture guidelines; Takes into account the functional impacts in each application, data model, interface specifications, interface changes, sequence flows and non-functional requirements; Ensures sufficient solution design documentation and keep it up-to-date; Proposes technologies, design patterns, technical stories by combining the engineering expertise of the agile/developer teams with the overall solution architecture; Identifies refactoring/improvement design chain issues and discuss their priority with Product Owner.
Technical Currency : the breadth of technical knowledge across various technology programs/packages.
Consulted for expertise, driving the technology developments in their area of expertise

Design and implement
As a SAP Supply Chain SME, you play a critical client-facing role and show the ability to clearly articulate the business value and change impact of S/4HANA Supply Chain Transformations. You are able to articulate the benefits of new SAP S/4Hana and interpret Business requirements and translates these into a solution with focus on Supply Chain Financing including the following tasks :
Business Partner Supplier Maintenance in SAP
Working together with CRXMarkets and ensure that Data is correctly transferred from SAP to CRXMarkets platform
Working in close alignment with business key-users to ensure business process needs.
Guide the IT and or the business team according to the known solution design
You bring a strong Supply Chain background and act as a subject matter expert in SAP. You provide direction to the implementation team and ensure business alignment.
Assignment context & Team
A multi-year S/4HANA program across 150 legal entities in 6 European countries. The goal is to harmonize and standardize Supply Chain and Finance processes across regions (Nordics, Netherlands, Germany). The project go-live is planned in January 2027. After the Go-live we need someone in the team who can collaborate with the key-users to
Ensure we maintain the defect handling according to the delivered design by the S/4Hana project
Handle incoming Change Requests and retrieve alignment from IT & Business to enable changes according to the agreed design.
You will join the Financial Solutions team within IT, working closely with the Finance Accounts Payable and external company CRXMarkets.
Qualifications
Deep SAP Supply Chain knowledge is a must
Solid understanding of integration with related modules and business processes
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to drive topics independently
Has a knowledge of CRX Markets add on S/4Hana is a must
Having a knowledge of Business Partner & Purchase Order handling within the Supply Chain Financing process is a must
Education:
Background in Supply chain is a must
Master degree in Supply Chain is highly preferred
Dutch or German language skills are a strong plus
On site presence in Amsterdam is needed 1 or 2 times a month. Therefore, the candidate should live in the Netherlands.
